Specializing in commercial work, Nor Cal Painting & Waterproofing, Inc. was established in 1972 and incorporated in October of 1986.  Our owner and President, James H. Rhoades has been in the Bay Area working together with companies much like yours throughout the last thirty-three years. We have maintained a close affiliation with our contractors association, Painting & Decorating Contractors of America (PDCA) where Mr. Rhoades currently sits on the Board of Directors as Treasurer.

Having been in the commercial painting industry for so many years, we have been and continue to be, capable of undertaking various size projects. Regardless of the size of a project, our goal is to treat every project with the same professionalism through all phases from pre-job meetings and estimating, through completion of our work and call back on warranty work.

Approximately ten years ago, we converted from a union affiliation to a “non-union” status.  We are now able to compete in the market while at the same time sustain a high degree of quality in our work.  We have roughly twenty-five to thirty painters on staff, some being former union workers who have remained with us. Our capabilities include all phases of commercial painting; installation of vinyl wall covering; specialty coatings such as Zolatone, SIKA, Sonneborn and Thoro Coatings; epoxies; high end lacquer finishing; two and three part epoxies and urethane concrete floor coatings; removal of mastic and grout from concrete floors; above grade waterproofing of concrete walls to include panel caulking. We also provide concrete overlays for damaged or cracked sidewalks and concrete slabs, thereby eliminating costly replacement.

Maintain predetermined time line for completion of our work while remaining flexible to accommodate for changing job conditions as required to meet owner’s deadline.
